Lobby Day 2019

On May 14, 2019 we visited New York State legislators at the NYS Capitol in Albany. We focused on legislators who chair the committees that are responsible for veterinary issues, or who have a particular interest in issues on our Legislative Agenda.

The day started with a a short briefing over breakfast followed by meetings in the morning and early afternoon. We were guided in these meetings by our legislative counsel.

This was a great opportunity for these legislators to hear from veterinarians about these issues.

Lobby Day will happen again in 2020!

We are looking for members who understand and support the NYSVMS legislative agenda and where possible match the constituencies of the legislators that we will visit.

We provide overnight lodging in Albany for those who need it.
